ACHSE
Founded in 2005 under the patronage of Eva Luise Köhler, ACHSE is an umbrella organization for patient organizations representing people with rare diseases. ACHSE aims to improve conditions for patients with rare diseases, particularly with regard to new legislation resulting from health care reform, to increase the flow of information for patients and specialized staff and to promote the cooperation between specialists with the intention to bundle them in reference centers.

EURORDIS
Headquartered in France, the European Association for Orphan Diseases focuses on European information networking, improving the cooperation between patient organizations and specialists as well as highlighting best practices among European health care systems and their handling of rare diseases.

The ‚Network for Kids, Adolescents and Young Adults with Chronic Diseases and Disabilities e.V.‘ is an organization that specialized in supporting young people with rare diseases. As an umbrella organization with 200 self-help organizations nationwide and over 200,000 members, Kindernetzwerk provides information on over 2,000 different diseases and disabilities.
