Making their lives more colorful. Making them forget about their daily struggles. Enjoying the moment. Just being a child.

For the foundation, the increase in quality of a young patient’s life is a matter of the heart. That is why we donate time to the affected children and their families. Days that are irretrievable and unforgettable. Moments, where the kids can experience lightheartedness and gain self-confidence. The organization and implementation of annual holiday camps is an important part of the foundation’s work. Except for a small application fee, these camps as well as the family vacations are free of charge for the affected children and their families.

We know what really matters

Children with a rare disease often suffer from low self-esteem since they are unable to manage life on their own and hence are in permanent need of help. Strong medication, frequent visits to doctors and long hospital stays have a major impact on their lives, too. The little patients must pass on fun and games with friends or field trips with their classmates, they lose touch with other kids of their age and quickly become marginalized. Therefore it is of great importance that they experience moments in companionship, with people in a similar situation, moments that they realize they’re not alone with their fate.

In good hands

Social pedagogues and healthcare professionals look after the affected children and their siblings (support ratio higher than average). With the drug delivery guaranteed, its use should not be an obstacle for participation. Specifics of individual rare diseases will be included in the planning and specialty hospitals are within reach. Foundation staff personally attend every camp.
